BRIEF HISTORY

Viktor made his first step in Sinology and Martial arts when he was a small kid. At that time it was not that easy to find a martial arts school, because they were not legally permitten in the USSR. Doing other traditional sports he was lucky enough to be taken by his father to a good karate coach. Viktor combined training karate with other sports, later practiced also boxing, kick boxing, tae kwondo. But his love and passion was Chinese martial art wushu (also known as kung fu). He met his first master Zhou Lianjie and after a year of testings he was accepted as his the only one student. Master Zhou Lianjie had learned wuhsu from his grandfather, his main styles are Tai Chi, Hong Quan, Yongchun quan.

Together with Master Zhou Viktor opened the 1st open wushu school “Jing Wu Men” in September 2002. Since that moment he was preparing for the new step – becoming officially recognized. Thus “Jing Wu Men” became official member and representative of the Ukrainian Wushu Federation in 2005. Since that time Viktor and all his students took part in all National competitions and never came back without at least 1 victory per student. It lasted till 2010 when Viktor was accepted to the Diplomatic academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and had to leave.

After winning a World Champion title in 2011 and then almost three-year absence, Viktor returned to national and international competitions in 2013. At the Ukrainian National Wushu Championship he won silver medal in tai ji and bronze medal for tai ji weapon. It was a good way back to the stage. In October, at the US Open Martial Arts Championship, Viktor won the San Da competition against a former heavyweight UFC fighter who was two weight classes heavier. Viktor also won gold medals in both Tai Ji Quan and Tai Ji Qixie.

Following this year’s successes, Viktor is became a member of the National Ukranian Wushu Team and resigned in 2014. He successfuly ran few wushu seminars in the USA, runs his martial arts academy in Los Angeles, works as fight choreographer, actor and public person.
